An AI Game Master gives the battle its voice: it narrates the fight, speaks for monsters and townsfolk, and helps decide enemy and ally turns. Turns take a little longer while the model thinks. Off, the instant tactical AI plays every turn silently.
Commander
🎯 Commander asks
You are the party's commander. An AI ally's turn pauses on one ask — approve their own plan, or give an order: press the attack, fall back, or a specific spell. Orders are requests, not scripts: the ally rolls obedience dice (d20 + loyalty vs a DC shaped by their nature) and may refuse.
⛓️ Strict commander
The commander's word is law: every order and reaction call is obeyed automatically — no obedience dice, no refusals. Pure tactical control, at the cost of your allies' own agency.

👀 Watch mode
Put the reins down and watch: the tactical AI plays your whole party — your hero included — and nothing pauses for you (no commander asks, no reaction windows). Useful for seeing how a fight plays out, or letting a lost one finish itself. THIS BATTLE ONLY: it is never remembered, so the next fight starts with you in control again.
Training in medium armor and shields: you gain proficiency with both, letting a class that lacks them wield a shield and wear medium armor (and still cast). +1 DEX.
